About me:
I'm the grant writer at Durham County Library since August 2006. In addition to grant writing and reporting, I am the staff liaison to the Friends of the Library and I work on special projects such as the Book Cart Drill Team and Durham Reads Together. The prior 5+ years I was Development Officer at the North Carolina Partnership for Children, www.ncsmartstart.org, and a Library Assistant during the evenings and weekends at the reference desk at Wake County's North Regional Library, www.wakegov.com.
I'm part of the Core Planning Team for this Strategic Planning process and helped to win an LSTA grant to hire the strategic planning consultants from the State Library of North Carolina. It's very exciting to see this process take shape and come to life.
I hope you'll be involved as much as you can!
Comments:
The comment below is from Bill Nesmith, Librarian East Regional Library. I know that because pbwiki notifies me by email everytime someone edits this page. Bill is referring to Durham Reads Together, which kicked off this past week with book group leader orientations. I think I'll email him my response, instead of posting it here. BTW, Stasi is my nickname.
Hi, Stasi, how did you like the facilitation session last Sunday?

Actually, I'm grateful to you, Bill. I had forgotten it was there and now I've made some changes to encourage people to experiment on my page as you did. BTW, I thought our facilitator training at the Regulator was terrific! Great community response.
