San Jose
Durham County Library staff Myrtle Darden and Lisa Dendy attended a PLA Conference in San Jose, California. Below are some of the photographs from the many libraries Myrtle and Lisa toured.
Lisa attended a program called "Refresh, Recreate, Redesign, Remodel, Retail." You can see a PowerPoint from Christine Hage's presentation at http://www.ala.org/ala/pla/plaevents/2007plaspringsymposium/RefreshHage_021407.ppt. Myrtle attended a program called "Customer Service in Public Libraries, 21st Century Style." You can view PowerPoints from this program at http://www.ala.org/ala/pla/plaevents/2007plaspringsymposium/CustomerServHyman0307.pdf. Myrtle also raved about another program, the PowerPoint of which you can see at http://www.ala.org/ala/pla/plaevents/2007plaspringsymposium/CustomerServJFWilliams_Handout.ppt.
Enjoy the photos and the many ideas in the PowerPoints.
