Goal 1: What we are working on

Here are some of the highlights on what staff is working on to make the library more customer-centered.  To see more, go to the Goal 1 page and click on each individual objective.  If you have comments, please add them!

 

1. C.L.A.S.S. (Customers Leaving Appreciative, Satistfied and Sold) is a library-specific training that has challenged Durham Country Library staff to raise customer service standard to a higher level, supporting of the August 2007 initiative for a customer-centered library. CLASS training will be required of all staff and will be made available to volunteers and contractors as well.

3. Starting September 2007, the library put new, more customer-friendly loan policies in place.  a three day grace period was adopted, renewals and reserve maximums were increased, checkout limits rose and the cap on fines was lowered.  Also, we now circulate back issues of magazines.
