I would like to see
Books on Disc given a high priority in the budget, emphasizing the classics as well as current fiction and nonfiction, and including as much world literature as possible, and works in foreign languages (French, German, Italian, Spanish).
The library catalog searchable by Books on Disc and Books on Tape so that it is possible to browse only these, in fiction and nonfiction categories.
Several complete sets of all of the courses offered on CD and DVD by "The Teaching Company" acquired. See www.Teach12.com. I have purchased some of these and borrowed others from other sources, and they have all been extraordinary.
Parents given information on putting children to bed with soothing music or books on disc and tape, rather than letting them fall asleep (or not) in front of the television.
I have been so grateful to the Durham County Library for its books on tape and disc, which have permitted me to read so many classics (from Tolstoy to Ayn Rand) and current fiction and nonfiction (from Elmore Leonard to Collapse by Jared Diamond) while cooking, cleaning, exercising and riding in cars and planes.

This is great! Thank you for sharing what you would like to see. I love the Teaching Company CDs and would like to have more at the library as well.
