Adding photos

To add an image to a page, click on the “Insert Image” button (yellow with mountains) while in the text editor.

A menu will open up. This is similar to attaching documents to an email you send. First you find the image you want (“browse” the Library S-drive, your own network drive, your shared drive, CDs, etc) and then when you’ve found the photo, click “Upload.” You can also choose to paste a photo already loading onto the wiki. Look through the list and click on a photo you want to use. The photo you’ve chosen will be in bold. Press “okay” to paste the photo.

After you’ve hit “okay,” the photo in your document may be really large. To make the photo smaller and more appropriate for the size of your page, right click on the photo. “Image properties” will come up. You can put in a width and the editing program will calculate the corresponding height. Then just hit okay and the photo will change size on your page.   A good width would be 500 or smaller.

After you hit "Save" in the text editor, the wiki will take you to the live page with the photo. You’ve just added a photo.

You can go back and edit text into your new page, erase the photo if you want, add more photos, add more comments, just click the blue "Edit Page" tab again.  Remember it’s your page. Also remember, other people can edit your page to add their own comments or photos just like you can edit their pages.
